Tripura Police’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order Branch, Manchak Eppar, IPS, visited the Gomati District Police Headquarters to assess the district’s law and order situation, crime prevention strategies and the overall progress of policing activities.
During the visit, the IGP held a comprehensive review meeting with senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police (SP), Additional SP, SDPOs and Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of different police stations across the district.
The meeting focused on the current security scenario in Gomati district, status of major investigations, crime trends and steps taken by police to curb criminal activities. Issues related to prevention of theft, drug-related offences, illegal activities and measures to improve public safety were also discussed in detail.
While addressing the officers, IGP Manchak Eppar emphasized the importance of proactive policing and urged officials to strengthen intelligence gathering mechanisms to prevent crimes before they occur. He highlighted the need for professional investigation, timely completion of cases, prompt response to public grievances and delivery of efficient citizen-oriented police services.
The IGP also reviewed police preparedness for handling emergency situations and directed officials to enhance coordination among different police units, increase regular patrolling and maintain constant vigilance to ensure peace and security throughout the district.
Concluding the meeting, IGP Manchak Eppar called upon all police personnel to discharge their responsibilities with commitment, discipline and professionalism. He reiterated that maintaining public confidence and ensuring a secure environment remain among the top priorities of Tripura Police.
