One punished in charge smuggling after 8 yrs

UDAIPUR:

Court of CJM ordered one person 6 months jail and fined Rs. 10,000 in allegation of smuggling rice from ration shop at Udaipur before 8 years.

Sources said that police of R.K. Pur Police Station caught two persons red handed at Bandoar area when they were smuggling 16 sacks of rice of ration shop in 2011. Later police filed a case under case no- 284/11.

The case was under trial at CGM Court of Udaipur District Court for long time. Justice CGM Dharmendu Das announced punishment for accused Dipankar Bhowmik according to verdict of the court today.

The court ordered him 6 months jail and fined Rs.10,000. The court also ordered two months more jail in case of nonpayment of fined amount. Another accused absconded earlier.
