As expected Dr. Manik Saha today took over the charge Tripura’s BJP unit. Union Minister of Jalshakti Ministry, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who discharged the duty of being the returning officer of the state BJP elections declared his name and handed over him the charge at BJP state headquarters this afternoon.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devbarma along with UP Minister Mahendra Singh remained present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Deb urged his successor to keep up his work and bag 100 percent assembly seats in the next assembly elections. “I have successfully brought the party in the position to form the government. Now it’s the duty of Dr. Saha to ensure party's victory in all the assembly constituencies of the state”.
Union Minister Ganjendra Singh said that BJP was the only party that works on democratic norms. “Right from the booth level to the level of national president BJP elects it’s workers through elections. I hope the responsibly that has been put on the shoulders Dr. Saha will be discharged accordingly” he hoped.
In his brief interaction, the new BJP president sought completion from every person associated with the party for bringing better results. Almost all the district and assembly chiefs of the party remained present on the occasion.
