Inter Office Sports and Cultural association organized Inter Office Volleyball tournament has been postponed for 6 days and as per the new schedule the tournament will start from December 19.
In the opening match of the tournament Tripura Police will play against Education Department as the match will be held at Umakanta mini stadium Volleyball court and will start from 1.00 pm. Dilip Chakraborty, Secretary of Tripura sports Council will inaugurate the tournament. Also among the others Secretary of General Administration T K Chakma and Joint Secretary S R Das will remain present.
This year total 7 teams will take part in the tournament and they have been divided in two groups. Police Cultural association, Agriculture department Cultural association, Sports department Cultural association and Education department Cultural association will be there in Group ‘A’ while Fire Service department Cultural association, Secretariat Cultural association and Forest Department Cultural association will be placed in Group ‘B’.
The final match of the tournament will be held on December 26. On the other hand with the initiative of same organization for the first time ever Handball tournament while for the second year Seven-A-Side football tournament will be held in the last week of December. Organizing committee secretary Swapan Ghosh announced the news in a press release today.
