Sepahijala district level Athletics tournament will be held on August 5 at Boxanagar mini stadium. Sepahijala district athletic association secretary Dilip Dasgupta announced the news yesterday.
The tournament will be inaugurated at 10.00 am on the above mentioned date as among the dignitaries, president of the association Samsul Haq, chairperson of Boxanagar Panchayet Samiti Jeshmine Akhter will remain present in the opening ceremony.
Secretary also said that total 100 athletes from 3 subdivisions in the district will take part in the tournament. The tournament will be held in Under14, Under 16, Under 18 category and in an open category where any man and woman can perform.
10 athletes from Jampuijala, 30 athletes from Bishalgarh and 60 athletes from Sonamura will take part in the tournament. From this tournament the district team will be formed which will take part in the state event.
