Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated a blood donation camp here at Agartala, organised by the Tripura Cricket Association and urged upon the budding cricketers of the state to stay focused on their goal. Dr Saha said that the key to success in sports is regular practice.
Addressing the event, the Chief Minister said that the present government of the state is taking various initiatives to explore new talents in the field of sports. Along with this, importance is being given to developing the sports infrastructure of the state, he added.
Dr Saha also flagged off a battery-operated drinks van, designed to supply drinks to the cricketers on the field.
“TCA plays a key role in finding cricket talent and improving the quality of cricket. Apart from urban areas, there are many talented players in the marginal areas of the state as well. They need to be brought forward,” Dr Saha said, adding that coaches should be aware of the advantages and disadvantages and problems of the players. It is also necessary to build a good relationship between players and coaches, he said.
