Tension gripped Nandannagar Bardhan Para today morning after the bloodied body of a woman was recovered from a nearby forest. The deceased, identified as Malati Rudrapal, had reportedly gone out for her routine morning walk but never returned home.
According to the victim’s family, Malati had left the house early in the morning as she did every day. When she failed to return on time, her family members began searching for her. Shockingly, they found her lying in a pool of blood in a forested area adjacent to the roadside near their home.
Family members further alleged that Malati’s gold ornaments were missing, raising suspicions of robbery and murder. They immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
The incident has triggered panic and outrage in the locality. A large crowd gathered at the spot as news of the suspected murder spread.
Police officials confirmed that an investigation has been launched. “We are looking into all possible angles. The missing ornaments suggest a possible robbery, but we are awaiting the autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death,” a senior police officer said.
As of now, no arrests have been made. The police are examining CCTV footage from the area and speaking to local residents as part of the investigation.
