In a significant political development ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, 275 voters from 55 families have switched allegiance from the Tipra Motha Party to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP Pradesh General Secretary Bipin Debbarma welcomed the new entrants and asserted that the BJP is fully prepared to secure a clean sweep across all 28 TTAADC seats.
“These 275 voters, led by Gurupada Debbarma, former Central Observer of the Tipra Motha Party, have chosen to join the BJP,” Bipin Debbarma said. “They cited the lack of development under the Tipra Motha Party over the past five years, contrasting it with the progress made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.”
Bipin emphasized that the Tipra Motha Party has failed to meet public expectations and deliver on development promises. “This is why people are turning towards the BJP. Our leadership, including PM Modi, CM Dr. Manik Saha, and BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya, is committed to the welfare and development of the district council,” he added.
Addressing speculations about potential alliances, Bipin stated that the BJP has not held discussions on seat-sharing with the Tipra Motha Party. “The central leadership will decide on all such matters. Currently, BJP is ready to contest all 28 seats independently. The public is prepared to give BJP a chance, while the Tipra Motha Party has lost its ground. Their claims that BJP will not win a single seat are baseless,” he remarked confidently.
