Ganja recovered from car, two smugglers nabbed

AMBASSA:

At least two ganja smugglers caught red handed by police and two others fled away when car with hidden ganja stopped in jungle of Ambassa on being challenged by police today.

The two detained youths are Shiba Roy (26) of Lamding and Maijas Ali (21) of Shilchar. The Tata Safari car was carrying ganja by making a box at lower portion of the car.

Acting on secret information OC of Ambassa Police Station and SDPO Asish Dasgupta were waiting National Highway at Jialcherra area since 9 a.m. today.

Later police followed the car as it crossed the police barrier in high speed. At last police stopped the car at forest of Surendra Reangpara under Jagannathpur.

The driver and one woman fled away from the car while two youths caught by police. Police recovered 38 Kg 800 gm ganja from 15 packets.
