Former CPI-M MLA and Khowai District Secretary of CPI-M Biswajit Dutta submitted his resignation from all posts of the party today in protest of conspiracy against him. With this resignation CPI-M of Khowai subdivision lost their veteran guardian after passing away of powerful CPI-M leader Samir Deb Sarkar.
Dutta announced his resignation in the morning today at a press conference in his house. Dutta said that he submitted his resignation from membership of CPI-M State Committee and preliminary membership and he had sent his resignation letter to State Head Quarter by post.
Speaking to media about his resignation Dutta said, “I had no aim to join in parliamentary politics. The death of MLA Samir Deb Sarkar bound me to participate in parliamentary politics”
Referring a corrupt racket is working in the party for long time he said, “I am the victim of conspiracy of the corrupt racket”
He said, “The entire episode that happened with me is a part of conspiracy including declaring me as sick, admitting at G.B. Hospital and referring me to ICU immediately. Describing conspiracy of announcing him as ill by taking photograph at sick bed in ICU he raised question whether taking photograph was possible from ICU.
He alleged that the State Committee decided to change his name without his consent and spreading false propaganda of his illness after announcing him as candidate for Khowai assembly constituency. He added, “Poster banner of my name were shifted and bank account of new candidate opened at UBI Branch of Khowai before formal announcement of changed candidate”.
Raising the allegation that ambitious leaders and hunger for power increased in the party he said “I stepped in the party with the call of Nripen Chakrabory and Dasharath Deb. The conspirators have sent the entire party in ICU before pushing me to ICU. As a result the people of country witnessed the result of state assembly poll.
Coming down heavily on the party Dutta said that he had got membership of the party in 1976-77 after participation in students movement in 1964 and Food movement in Kalyanpur. He said that Sukhendu Bikash Dey, Goutam Das and Bijan Dhar were involved in corruption against him.
Although Dutta cancelled any possibility to join in other party adding that he would protest against injustice with people in future which he did in past also.
