34 Battalion BSF now located at Bagma, celebrated its 32nd raising day through many colourful cultural programmes and also organized a Blood donation camp in which 70 unit pens had donated blood yesterday.
On this occasion, B.M. Tripura, MLA of Karbook, DM and Collector of Gomati T. K. Debnath, Avula Ramesh Reddy, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Gomati Distrct and many other reputed persons of the District, personnel of Ftr. HQ BSF Tripura, Agartala, SHQ BSF Udaipur, it’s under command units and their families were present.
34 Bn BSF was raised on February, 16 in 1988 at FTR HQ BSF jalandhar (Punjab) under the able command of Sh. R. S. Gurung, Comdt. In Its glorious history of 32 years this Unit has completed all tasks assigned to it time to time like tough duty on Indo-Pak International Border in desert at Rajasthan, in north east state Tripura and in Bengal on lndo-Bengal international border; on LOC of J & K and other IS Duties.
During Raising Day programme, Chief guest Shri Jameel Ahmad, DIG, SHQ BSF Udaipur, Shri Shyamal Kumar Rudra, Commandant, 34 Bn BSF, other distinguished civil authorities, Officers, guests, ex-BSF personnel and students from Orphanage school, Udaipur, Hazachari School, Suknacheri (Karbook), students from Jalaya village (Karbook) and families were present.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest with lighting the 'Dye. After that two minute silence was observed in the memory of martyrs of CRPF personnel martyred on 14 Feb' 2019 In Jammu & Kashmir. Thereafter, members of BSF Wives Welfare Association of this unit, children from BSF & border schools, BSF personnel presented various colourful cultural programme including patriotic songs, Punjabi, Oriya and South Indian dance, other folk dance etc which were a very heartening one.
Further, Chief Guest awarded Loy as pest Loy or the unit and personnel participated in the cultural event.
At the end, Chief Guest praised Sh. Shyamal Kumar Rudra, Comdt. for his leadership, wishes bright future of Unit and thus the programme was terminated.
