With the initiative of Ampi nagar Tipra Motha organization a mega thread distribution programme has been organized here in 21 ADC panchayats under Ampi nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura where a large number (approximate 6000) indigenous villagers were provided threads totally free of cost.
Under the guidance & supervision of Ampi Nagar MDC Sadagar Kalai the thread distribution programme has been accomplished total in 21 ADC villages.
As per the Tipra Motha authority, the poor indigenous women are traditionally weaver of their traditional garments like ria, pachtra etc. The threads that are distributed among the tribal ladies will be used in weaving ria, pachtra and other garments in handloom.
Reportedly, the tribal ladies of Tripura can make beautiful and long-lasting cloths by their own hands which are most appreciable in the state. The beneficiaries of the 21 ADC panchayats were found happy after receiving the threads. They have appreciated this philanthropic initiative and thanked the Motha organization for their good job.
Among the distinguished Tipra Motha participants, there were Devsadhan Jamatia, sub-zonal chairman, Sukendu Kalai, vice president of Tipra Motha organization, Ampi, Sadagar Kalai, Ampi MDC, Birodhan Noatia, Ampi Tipra Motha block member and many others remained present in the programme.
