With the initiative of the Tripura sector CRPF, the pre-event of the 82nd establishment anniversary of the central reserve police force of India has been organized here in Umakanta School mini stadium in Agartala, Tripura.
The respected IG of the Tripura sector Sh. Satpal Rawat has inaugurated the programme in the presence of many dignitaries from the 3 CRPF battalions of Tripura. The CRPF dignitaries have offered gratitude to the iron man of India, Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel who had contributed much more for the solid infrastructure of the CRPF that obtained a glorious achievement today in the service of the nation.
On this occasion a two day long (16 to 17 of March, 2021) a youth inspiring foot ball tournament has been organized in Umakanta School mini stadium. In the end of the tournament the sector IG Satpal Rawat has handed over the champion trophy honour to the champion team to Jampuijala Play Centre including a cheque of Rs. 10000 as well as he presented a cheque of Rs. 7500 to runners up team of Badarghat Morning star Club with trophy. As per the report a large number of civils, CRPF jawans including media persons were present in the tournament and enjoyed the event.
As we know that the Central Reserve Police Force came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on 27th July 1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has completed 81 years of glorious history. The Force has grown into a big organization with 246 Bns, (including 208 executive Bns, 6 Mahila Bns, 15 RAF Bns, 10 CoBRA Bns, 5 Signal Bns and 1 Special Duty Group, 1 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres, 20 Training Institutions, 3 CWS, 7 AWS, 2 SWS,1 MWS, 4 Composite Hospitals of 100 bedded and 17 Composite Hospitals of 50 bedded.
Mission
The mission of the Central Reserve Police Force shall be to enable the government to maintain Rule of Law, Public Order and Internal Security effectively and efficiently, to Preserve National Integrity and Promote Social Harmony and Development by upholding supremacy of the Constitution.
Vision
Broad duties being performed by the CRPF are:
Crowd control
Riot control
Counter Militancy / Insurgency operations.
Dealing with Left Wing Extremism
Overall coordination of large scale security arrangement specially with regard to elections in disturbed areas.
Fighting enemy in the event of War.
Participating in UN Peace Keeping Mission as per Govt. policy.
Rescue and Relief operations at the time of Natural Calamities and disasters.
On asking over the achievement of the CRPF in Tripura the honorable IG, Satpal Rawat said, "The CRPF of Tripura sector is always prompt to stand by the state people. In insurgency or national disasters the deployed CRPF battalions have severed the people with full afford. Through CAP the CRPF has provided different kinds of social amenities in the farthest corners of the state where the state indigenous people are living in deprivation and more public amenity projects are being processing to generate rural development in the state." Amidst the other distinguished participants there were the commandant of 140 battalion CRPF Sh. Manuj Kumar, the commandant of the 71 battalion CRPF Sh. A.K Bharati and Rajesh Yadav, the commandant of the 124 battalion remained present in the programme.
