After at least 75 days, the door of Tripura’s Tripurasundari temple in Udaipur also popularly known as Matabari temple is opened for the devotees. The Gomati district administration has initiated the process of let open the door of the temple following unlock 1.0 guidelines of the government.
The devotees are now allowed to visit the temple and see blessing from Mata Tripurasundari as usual but are mandated to maintain social distancing and government norms, said official of Matabari trust this evening.
He said, “Volunteers are deployed in Matabari temple premise especially in the entry point of the temple to mandate thermal screening and sanitization for the devotees and also to monitor social distancing norms among the devotees.”
He also said, “Aarti and Anna Bhog or Prasad for the devotees are not allowed as per the SOPs of the government to restrict mass gathering.”
Meantime, he said that the shops in the temple premise are also opened to facilitate the devotees as usual to offer prayer with garlands and Bhog with ‘Pera’.
However, mosques are also reopened from Monday in the state while churches remained closed as the concerned authority of churches are waiting for proper SOPs from government.
