Sadar Open Handball tournament will start from July 16 as the tournament will be held at Umakanta Handball court.
With the initiative of State Handball association at the beginning it was scheduled to be a club level event but in the meeting which was held on June 29 only 5 clubs took part whereas there are total 13 clubs which have been affiliated by the association. Most of them denied taking part in the tournament and from this situation state association took the decision to organize open event. In this tournament any play centre, Police, BSF and CRPF team will be eligible to take part.
Interested teams have to enrol for the tournament on or before July 10 on all working day from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm at the coach who has been appointed at the court. Braja Lal Bhowmik, Secretary of State Handball association announced the news.
