The tumbledown road from Bampur market to Bandarghat about 3 km distance under Lalgiri VC in Amar Pur subdivision, Gomati Tripura has created great trouble for the locals.
The local villagers of Bandarghat, Golasingh Para & saitrai Para have raised strong allegation over this dilapidated road. The locals said, "We are facing dangerous problem for this risky, unhygienic road every day. We cannot walk on this road after the rain due to unlimited mud on it. In this rainy season, it has turned more critical for all. Pedestrians & vehicles movement are in danger. We have appealed many times to the concerned authority to renovate the distance but there was no initiative to implement it till the date. During night time when people return from Bampur market people have to walk on mud with market bags very carefully. Ladies & children are having more disturbances to walk on this dirty, muddy road. In emergency cases, vehicle drivers deny to bring patients and pregnant women."
As per the public source, this road was under NBCC earlier but it is now under PWD at present. Villagers said, a loaded truck has been stuck on this road on the mud and afterward a long time it was there in a horrible situation. Later on, dozer has recovered it with great difficulty. The muddy surface of the road looks like a pond just after the rain. As fast as possible the concerned PWD authority has to visit the road and take immediate initiative to renovate the distance, demanded the villagers of the area.
