The uncompromising demand of 'Greater Tipraland' in Tripura's Autonomous District Council by the TIPRA Motha chief also the state's royal scion Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman is tabled on Thursday in the first session of the newly formed council of TTAADC in Khumulwng.
"Promises are meant to be kept! First Council session and Greater Tipraland issue is tabled in the house! We are ready to stand by our commitment," said Pradyot on his social media handle.

Meanwhile, the council session on Thursday has passed a resolution for the first time to play the National Anthem of the country on every initiation of proceedings in the Autonomous District Council session in the house.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday hailed the decision to term it as historic and said, "Happy to note that a historic decision to play our beloved national anthem at the initiation of proceedings in the Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) in #Tripura has been taken jointly by members of ruling dispensation led by Shri Pradyot Manikya & representatives of BJP Tripura."
"This initiative follows the historic trend that began by the practice of playing of our national anthem at #Tripura Vidhan Sabha in 2018 after BJP Tripura came to power," Deb said.
