National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) started training for 69 volunteers at Katal Dighi in Kailashahar to rescue the flood affected people.
NDRF rescued thousands of people during devastating flood in last year. This year they brought 5 Motor boats. The trainee volunteers will start their work when people will be affected by flood.
On necessity the NDRF team will join with them later on. The volunteers will be able to rescue the flood affected people during minor flood. The staffs of Tripura Police, Assam Rifles, Fire Service. NSS and NCC are included among the volunteers.
They will learn driving and repairing motor boat, the technique of rescuing drowned people. The administration started advance preparation observing the situation of people after devastating flood at Kailashahar in last year.
