Aiming to boost the health care facilities across the rural pockets of the state of Tripura tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), a Swaasth Vahan Mobile Medical Unit is flagged off on Tuesday at Khumulwung.
TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman had flagged off the medical van introduced in collaboration with Apollo Hospital in presence of the TTAADC officials and the officials of the Apollo Hospital.
With the introduction of this medical van, the people of the remotest parts of the villages of TTAADC will be enabled to access the advanced medical health care facilities in the van loaded with various diagnostic devices, said Pradyot.
“The people of Tripura’s capital city can visit and get treatment here. We are hopeful that the people from neighbouring country Bangladesh and states of northeastern region of India will visit Khumulwng for better health care facilities,” Pradyot told reporters.
The common masses residing in rural and remote areas of the interior parts of ADC are facing difficulties with serious health issues, Pradyot said, adding that these ambulances will consist of doctors, sophisticated machines, and laboratories. There is no necessity to visit hospitals as preliminary treatment is available in the ambulances and the treatment provided would be free of cost.
Earlier, the previous month, Pradyot had inaugurated the first tele-emergency and tele-consultation services introduced by Apollo Health Care at Kherengbar Hospital in Khumulwng.
