With an aim to enhance cooperation between Assam Rifles, BSF and state police forces and also to boost the spirit of sportsmanship, a friendly volleyball matchwas organised by 4 Assam Rifles of 21 Sector Assam Rifles under the Aegis of HQs IGAR (E) at Govt Higher Secondary School in Khowai district today.
The match was played between teams of 4 Assam Rifles and Tripura state Rifles. Around 100 locals and prominent personalities were present to witness the match.
Though it was a friendly match, it was well contested one. On the conclusion of an exhilarating match, TSR volleyball team won the match.
Prizes were distributed to the winning team and motivational prizes were given to the participants.
The effort to take the police-Assam Rifles cooperation to higher levels through sports was highly appreciated by higher HQs of both the forces and more such matches are being planned at other places in future.
