A youth seriously injured by 4 traffickers. The incident took place in the Kamalasagar assembly constituency of Kayadepa Taltola. The victim has been identified as Faruk Hossain son of Tanu Mia.
According to the details of the incident, on Sunday, some traffickers from the area suddenly came to Faruk’s house and started cursing him without any reason. At that time, when Faruk Hossain wanted to know the reason of the insult, they started beating him before he could understand anything and they said that the BSF have seized the goods that are being smuggled to Bangladesh and Faruk was the informer of BSF.
They started beating him severely. They hit him in different parts of the body with a sharp weapon. When his sister came forward to save him the 4 goons also attacked her. Hearing their hue and cry neighbours come forward to save them and the 4 traffickers fled from the spot.
Later, Farooq Hossain was brought to Madhupur Primary Health Center for treatment. Later his family members registered a case with Madhupur police station against the 4 traffickers. They are, Rana Mia, Suman Mia, Rubel Mia and Abdur Rashid. The four are known to be notorious traffickers in the area. There are various cases registered against them in Bishalgarh and Madhupur police stations.
