In a shocking incident one aged women was murdered by unknown miscreants while she was returning home from Manikpur Bazar at Dhalai district today.
Sources said that Dayarung Reang (50) of Dharma Kumar Royajapara went to Manikpur Bazar to provide food to his son who has shop in the market. Later she went back towards house after buying rice and vegetable for house.
On the way she was attacked by miscreants at Shal Bagan under Manikpur Reserve Forest at about 4- 30 p.m. and murdered on the spot.
On being informed OC of Manikpur Police Station Indu Marak and SDPO of Longtarai Valley rushed to the spot with large contingent of police. Police found spot of chopping on throat and head of the woman.
