An apparent wrong click on the web led a housewife to invite inventible problems for her that had further landed her into a treacherous trap of abduction and alleged attempt of religious conversion.
According to sources, a housewife of Dharmanagar who had developed a close friendship with some fake ID holder person in the social media who identified himself as Abhijit Nath. The housewife, in good faith shared her cell phone number and used to talk with the person quite regularly.
Both of them came closer in some time and developed a good bonding. The man also revealed his residence at Srirampur Kailasahar and continued to cheat her.
The problem began when the person gradually started abusing the woman mentally and forced her to meet him. On last Thursday, the man went to the locality of the woman and called her to meet him. On being refused, the man threatened her of reaching her home. In fear of being disclosed in front of the family about her hidden social media friendship, she came to meet the man.
But, to her utter surprise, the man with help of some his associates succeeded to drag her onto a hired vehicle and took her to his locality. The housewife after getting her conscious back, she came to know that she had been kept in a minority dominated locality and the person whom she believed as a friend was actually belong to some other religion.
According to her statement, she had been forced by the kidnappers to get her religion changed and live there with them. When she refused, she was abused and kept sealed into a room.
On the other hand, the Dharmanagar police was informed by her family members and she was rescued subsequently. As per the last information gathered regarding the matter, she did not clearly respond to the queries of the police yet due to the trauma she had undergone.
