The one and only communication bridge between Ratanpur and Gaburcherra village of Hrishyamukh Block and Uttar Muhuripur village under Jolaibari Block has been deteriorating day by day.
The bridge named Sampriti Setu turned into poor condition during last four years. It was constructed and inaugurated on April 23 in 2007. The then Rural Development minister Jitendra Choudhury inaugurated the bridge.
Since then the steel bridge constructed on Muhuri River has been turned into poor condition during last 10 years. In the mean time two assembly elections passed within the worsening condition of the bridge.
Sarat Chandra Uchai Junior Basic School is situated at one side of the bridge. Large numbers of students go to school and come back home through the bridge everyday. In such a condition any accident may happen on any day. In spite of that the government has no initiative to repair the bridge.
The concerned department has no initiative to repair the bridge although some local people expressed their demand to repair the bridge. Later, the villagers went to the ruling party leaders to submit their demand. But they are not ready to listen their problem.
In such a situation local people and school students are facing lot of trouble and they raised demand to repair the road immediately.
