The Union Minister of State for Information Technology and Skill Development Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday said that the Modi-led government at the centre has given utmost priority for over all development of the North-East region of the country.
Addressing a press conference at Kalyanpur in Teliamura sub-division on Friday, the MoS said, “Government has laid a special focus on the northeastern states of this region including the state of Tripura for over all development.”
“The people of Tripura is also benefited from various central and state government schemes since the present government of the state came to power in 2018,” he told reporters.
Chandrasekhar said that “Economy has been hit all over the world due to the COVID pandemic in the last two and a half years. But with the efforts of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the joint efforts of the Central and the State government, the situation could be tackled. The government is working to strengthen the country's economy with an aim to build India – a developed nation.”
“The people of Tripura's Kalyanpur area along with rest of the parts are also being benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Grameen, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and PM Kisan schemes,” he said, adding that present central government ministers are regularly visiting various remote areas of the country.
Chandrasekhar on Friday visited various areas of Kalyanpur block. He also visited the newly constructed Community Health Center at Kalyanpur. Later, he exchanged views with local businessmen and public at Kalyanpur Community Hall.
