Tripura government has made the deck ready to sponsor the state level inter-club football championship for men. The competition shall begin from December 15, said sports minister Manoj Kanti Deb.
Addressing a press conference Deb said, “The block and sub-division level football tournament which are also a part of this championship shall begin from December 5 and would last till December 12.”
He said that the registered clubs across the state can take part in this championship. The winning clubs of the block and sub-divisional level tournaments will take part in the state level championship which perhaps shall last till December 18, he said.
The state level championship will be held at three venues including Agartala Umakanta Mini Stadium, Pashchim Noabadi School ground and another at Madhuban Kathaltali secondary school ground.
The winning and the runner-up clubs in this state level tournament shall be awarded with prize money amounting to Rs. 25000 and Rs. 15000 respectively along with a trophy, Deb said.
