Mayor distributes water, fruits to common people

AGARTALA:

In a thoughtful gesture to combat the scorching summer heat, Ward No. 35 of Agartala Municipal Corporation extended a refreshing hand to the common people.

On the streets of Joy Nagar area in the capital, residents were pleasantly surprised as they were offered juicy watermelons and chilled drinking water. The initiative, led by AMC Mayor Dipak Majumdar, aimed to provide respite to those enduring the sweltering weather conditions.

Mayor Majumdar emphasized the necessity of such efforts, acknowledging the ongoing discomfort caused by the relentless heatwave.

"Despite the challenges posed by the excessive heat, many individuals are compelled to venture out of their homes. In recognition of this, Ward No. 35 of AMC took the initiative to distribute watermelons and cold drinks, offering a brief reprieve to those braving the streets," stated Mayor.
