Tripura govt. mulls introduce fresh job oriented courses in state’s MBB varsity soon

To widen the scope of employment in the state and abroad and also to cater to the vast market, the Tripura government has mulled to introduce series of new job oriented courses in the state-owned Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University soon.  

Education minister Ratan Lal Nath Friday evening said, “The new courses will include a 1-year diploma course in GST, Retail & Sails management, Insurance risk management course and integrated master degree course in commerce and chemistry.” He said that the decision has been taken in a meeting today with the vice-chancellors and controllers of Tripura varsities and general degree colleges of the state.

Meantime, Mr. Nat also said, “Tripura government is mulling to introduce a one-year diploma course in Spanish language to cater to the vast market in the state abroad.”

He, however, said that the new job oriented courses are expected to widen up the scope of employment opportunities for the students of this state.
