Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today inaugurated a significant 33-KV power sub-station in Golaghati, a project that came to fruition at a cost of Rs 10 crore 80 lakhs. This substation project commenced its journey in February 2021 and has now been successfully completed through the collaborative efforts of the Power Grid Corporation with funding support from both the Government of India and the World Bank.
Minister Nath highlighted the critical role this substation will play in addressing the longstanding issue of electricity shortages in the region, particularly in areas inhabited by various castes. He expressed optimism that the completion of this substation marks a new era in the provision of electricity services to the local population.
Furthermore, Minister Nath assured the people of the area that they can now expect uninterrupted access to electricity services. He also emphasized the substation's potential to significantly contribute to the agricultural development of the region.
