Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee president Pijush Biswas on Friday said that he wanted a strengthened Congress in the TTAADC. Biswas made the statement while visiting the Chawmanu area under Dhalai district.
As a part of the party’s campaign, the TPCC President, for the last couple of months, had been seen working tirelessly in the hills. Biswas on Friday personally interacted with the people of Pach kilo under Chawmanu and heard about the persistent problems of the rural villagers.
“Issues like clean drinking water, road connectivity and good standard of living are still an issue in the rural places. The people indigenous community are fighting whole day to earn their bread and butter. The people must understand, Congress is the only party that can resolve the issues of rural masses. The way Congress has given the TTAADC for the welfare of the indigenous people of Tripura as well as other parts of the country, it is the only force having the will to resolve the problems of people in the hills”, said Biswas after his visit.
Later he urged the people to strengthen the hand of Congress in the TTAADC areas to give fulfillment to the real meaning of TTAADC.
Apart from TPCC President Biswas, Congress leader Subeer Jamaita, Chawmanu BCC president Bitta Mohan Tripura, local youth Congress president Daharam Tripura and TYPC president Pujan Biswas also attended the programme.
