The dream of guardians to continue study of children at Government English Medium School has turned into a dream of depression at Kadamtala Govt English Medium School due to shortage of teachers.
At present the guardians are considering to shift their children at private school. Sources said that the English Medium School started inside Kadamtala Government H.S. School in 2015. The school authority assured to shift the school at an area of Saraspur within three years. But the assurance has not been implemented till today. The school is still running temporarily at Kadamtala H.S. School. The then MLA Farjur Rahaman inaugurated the school.
About 80 students are studying at the school at present. The school comprises three classes including class- I, II and III. Only one teacher is managing all classes of the school although there are three teachers according to attendance register of the school. The remaining two teachers are enjoying leave all over the year.
As a result the children move here and there whimsically. In-charge Biswatosh Paul has nothing to do to control the children of remaining two classes when he remains busy at one class. Even there is no staff to look after the children inside school while they are running at open road which in turn increases possibility of accident.
Speaking to our local correspondent Incharge Paul said, ‘I am managing alone as far as possible’. At the same time two teachers Asist Sutradhar and Satyajit Das are drawing salary without attending school. As a result guardians are quite annoyed with study of their children.
