State Government has taken initiative to set up more B.Ed college and Degree College for development of education in the state, said Higher Education minister Ratan Lal Nath at Fresher’s welcome programme at Khumulwng Degree college at Nuai auditorium today.
Referring 900 students of the state have been sent to study B.Ed. in government expense he said, “The initiative has been take to reach higher education to the students easily.” He appealed the teachers to educate the students with care at institutions of Higher Education.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Executive Member Radhacharan Debbarma stressed on education on different subjects including agriculture, fishery and animal resource development. He also added that Central Government has planned to set up Ayush Medical College at Kumulwng. Proposal has been sent to the State Government to set up Dental and Medical College.
Fishery minister N.C. Debbarma said, coalition government is working with a target to set up one degree college at 60 constituencies of the state. Among others Tribal Welfare Minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia delivered speech in the meeting.
