Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a review meeting of the Tripura Urban Development Authority (TUDA) here at the secretariat on Tuesday and stressed on provision of rainwater harvesting facility on the residential flats being constructed under the government’s township project.
The review meeting held on Tuesday mainly discussed the current status of various township projects of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority and various initiatives taken for the development of the city area.
Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, Secretary of Information and Technology Department Kiran Gitte, TUDA member Swapan Saha along with senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister Dr. Saha directed the department to promote the flats being constructed in Agartala under TUDA and suggested that these flats should be subjected to certain conditions, so that ownership of the flats is properly maintained. He emphasized to ensure utilization of the Prime Minister Gati Shakti scheme in implementing the projects of TUDA.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to speedily complete the work of the lighthouse project, which is under construction in the bordering area of Agartala. The meeting also discussed the appointment of economic advisers to manage the works of TUDA in a well-planned manner.
