CBSE Results: State sees rise in pass percentages, 15 schools achieve 100 perent

Tripura has recorded a remarkable improvement in CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exam results this year, with a notable surge in pass percentages and exceptional performances from Vidya Jyoti schools.

Announcing the results at a press conference held at the Secretariat, Special Secretary of the Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar revealed that the Class 10 pass percentage has climbed to 86 percent — a significant 26 percent increase from last year. A total of 15 Vidya Jyoti schools secured 100 percent pass results in Class 10, a striking rise from just one such school last year. Of these, 12 are Bengali medium and 3 are English medium institutions.

Further, 66 schools recorded over 90 percent pass rates in Class 10, compared to only five schools the previous year. Additionally, 81 schools reported pass percentages above 81 percent, while only five schools had a pass rate below 57 percent. Just 13.5 percent of students have been placed in the supplementary category.

Suraj Basu of Belonia Government English Medium School topped the state in Class 10, scoring an impressive 496 marks (99.2%).

District-wise, the Class 10 pass rates are as follows South Tripura: 92%, Khowai: 89%, Unakoti and Sepahijala: 88% each, North Tripura: 87%, Gomati: 86%, Dhalai: 84% and West Tripura: 82%

For Class 12, the state has achieved a 71 percent pass rate — an increase of 21 percent from last year. Five Vidya Jyoti schools secured 100 percent results, with three Bengali and two English medium institutions among them. Last year, no Vidya Jyoti school reached this milestone.

The number of schools achieving over 90 percent pass rate in Class 12 has risen to 25 from just two last year. A total of 69 schools surpassed the overall average pass percentage of 71 percent.

Tapeshwar Pal of Shishu Bihar School topped the state in Class 12 with 491 marks (98.2%).

District-wise Class 12 pass percentages are North Tripura: 85%, Dhalai: 84%, Unakoti: 81.3%, Khowai: 80.8%, South Tripura: 77.7%, West Tripura: 72.2%, Gomati: 51%, Sepahijala: 47.9%

Kumar stated that the state government is actively implementing several initiatives aimed at promoting quality education and enhancing academic standards across schools.
