Tripura government has asked the vice-chancellors and controllers of Tripura varsities and degree colleges to find the feasibility of conducting final examinations in July this year. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Friday said, “If everything falls on the right track amid this Corona pandemic the final examinations will be conducted in July this year.”
Ending a jumbo meet with the vice-chancellors and controllers of Tripura central university, MBB University, and degree colleges, Mr. Nath addressed a press conference this evening.
He said, “Decision has been taken to conduct 2nd, 4th and 6th-semester examination of all general degree colleges and diploma courses in engineering colleges.” He said that the decision is taken in pursuance to the advisory issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
Meantime, Mr. Nath also informed that the government has decided to start full-fledged classes in all general degree colleges and universities from June this year whereas the concerned authorities are asked to continue the online classes in full extension from May.
He, however, reiterated that the examinations will be conducted only if the situation remains normal and everything falls in the right track amid this COVID-19 pandemic.
