In a startling development in Mohanpur, a family from Bamutia has filed a formal complaint against Muhuri Babul Chandra Biswas, accusing him of embezzling Rs 4 lakh under the guise of a legal transaction.
The aggrieved family led by Bhavani Ghosh alleges that Biswas duped them by posing as lawyer Anjan Debnath claiming to facilitate legal proceedings. However, upon verification, Debnath denied any involvement, confirming suspicions of foul play.
According to sources close to the family, Biswas purportedly absconded with the significant sum, leaving the Ghosh family in financial distress. Furthermore, the accused Muhuri is also accused of unlawfully withholding essential land documents belonging to the family, exacerbating their plight.
In response to these allegations, the affected family members have taken decisive action by lodging a written complaint at the local police station. Their aim is to seek justice and ensure that the perpetrator faces legal consequences for his alleged crimes.
