At last police succeeded to arrest notorious drug mafia Ranjit Debbarma from Churaibari today. Sources said that SDPO of Dharmanagar Robert L. Darlong came to know that drug mafia Ranjit was staying at Dharmanagar observing the tower location.
Immediately he informed DSP of IB Bikramjit Sukladas. At last police succeeded to arrest Ranjit from Rail Gate adjacent to Durgapur along with car and cash. Police recovered an amount of Rs. 1,16,530 from him.
The drug mafia is a resident of Paschim Karamcherra village of South Tripura. Police of Chailengta filed case against him under Section 14/16 NDPS.
Earlier OC of Chailengta Police Station arrested a person named Durbadhan Das with drugs on August 28. After filing case against him police knew that owner of the drug was Ranjit Debbarma. But Ranjit went on hide when police brought momentum for investigation of the case. At last police knew that Ranjit was staying at Shilchar by Mobile Network technology of IB department. But Ranjit fled away from that place. Finally police came to know that Ranjit came to Dharmanagar at present and arrested him today.
