Medical super of RGM hospital—Unakoti district hospital Dr. Jadumohan Tripura had been relieved from his charge and demoted to the post medical officer under Dhalai district for dereliction in duty.
The development came in the wake of allegations raised by a section of nurses of the hospital that they did not have adequate medical equipment. As per the inquiry commissioned in this regard, it has been found that though there are sufficient supply from the part of the government it is not provided to the health staff. Thus, through an order by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, he had been released from all his charges.
