The situation of Kalsi under Santirbazar subdivision became tensed and brawl started among Congress and BJP workers when group of BJP workers occupied the Congress party office yesterday.
Sources said that some BJP workers who joined BJP from Congress and TMC occupied the Congress party office at 9 p.m. yesterday. Besides they allegedly shifted some materials and furniture from the Congress Office.
Meanwhile the Congress workers and supporters assembled in front of the office after knowing the incident today. They informed Bikhora Police Station and to the higher authority of Congress.
On being informed SDPO of Santirbazar subdivision along with police rushed to the occupied office. Besides higher authority of Congress including MLA Gopal Roy, Matilal Saha and Lawyer Pijush Biswas reached there. Observing the situation the BJP workers fled away from the office.
Meanwhile Congress filed an FIR against BJP workers for occupying the office illegally. The names of the accused BJP works are Goutam Sarkar, Basu Mog, Debabrata Guha and Ashoke Mog. The four workers along with some BJP supporters occupied the Congress office yesterday.
Reacting on the incident Jolaibari Mandal leader of BJP Bibhisan Das said, we are ashamed by the incident and there was no such decision of the party. Some dishonest new comers of the party are trying to spoil the image of the party by getting fund from CPM.
However, local people astonished by the attitude of BJP workers by the incident. They cannot understand the motive of the party when BJP party office is situated 20 ft away from Congress party office.
