Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the newly built Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kalyanpur and said that the government is committed to ensure quality health care service across the state.
Saha pitches for a cordial relation between the patients and doctors and said, “There have been many instances in the past, where doctors and patients as well were humiliated. In this case and also for better health care service, a cordial relation needs to be built up between the doctors and the nurses. Similarly, doctors have to discharge their professional responsibilities to serve patients.”
The Chief Minister said that the central government and the state government are very sincere in improving the health care system. “Because healthcare is a very important issue. If health is good, everything is good for people,” Saha hoped that with a very collective effort, a better health infrastructure would be built in Tripura.
Saha on Wednesday also pitched for ‘Ek tripura Srestha Tripura’ and focused on ending drug addiction in the state. He said, “At a time when the government is putting all out effort in controlling the drug addictions in the state, the parents should also come forward in the anti-drug campaign.”
The Kalyanpur CHC, equipped with 30 beds, is built with the cost of Rs. 6.70 Crore, while the staff quarter is built with the cost of Rs. 2.95 crore.
