In the area of South Kalamchaura New Colony under Kalamchaura Police Station in Boxanagar Block Area, Battalion BSF No. 74 and Police of Kalamchaura Police Station conducted 11 hours long operation from 5 am to 4 pm. A total of 1100 kg of dried cannabis was recovered.
However, the raiders could not arrest the owner of the cannabis even though they were able to recover the cannabis in this day's operation.
The operation was carried out by Superintendent of Customs Sumant Chowdhury, DRI Sion Debbabarma, BSF Deputy Commandant of 74th Battalion VS Raut, Inspector Shankarlal Yadav of G Branch, OC of Kalamchaura Police Station Vishnu Pad Bhowmik along with BSF.
At the end of the operation, the cannabis was brought to Kalamchoura B&P. The biggest operation of this year in the area of Kalamchaura police station was the 7-day cannabis operation. The OC said such operations will continue in the coming days.
