The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate of Teliamura constituency of Khowai district - Kalyani Roy today accused the ruling CPI-M cadres there at her constituency of provoking and threatening voters to vote in favour of the CPI-M.
Roy, "While I questioned, the concerned CPI-M cadres have life threatened me and keep maintained their cadre-raj." Adding to this Roy said, "I have filed an FIR against those cadres and I hope proper action shall be taken against them."
Meantime the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sriram Taranikanti informed, "there were no incidents of violence reported anywhere in the state and the polling is in underway in peaceful manner."
