The city on Saturday wore a festive look as preparation for the Biswakarma Puja celebration has gripped the state. Preparations are on in full swing for the Bishwakarma Puja 2017 to be held on September 17th.
With the improvement in the weather conditions, the puja celebration spree has hit the state. Almost at every places including RMS Chowmuhani, Battala, Motor Stand have erected pandals for celebrating Biswakarma Puja.
Meanwhile, the city police have also taken special measures to control any untoward incident. However, Biswakarma Puja is an important observance and festival in Bengal, Tripura, Orissa and other parts of Eastern India.
The markets are also flooded with the idols of Lord Biswakarma of different size for sale. The prices of commodities have also gone high in the market one day ahead of the Puja celebrations. But people are not to stop, amidst such price hike of commodities people are witnessed buying puja ritual stuffs.
Apart from households the puja will also be observed in offices, institution, factories, industries and other places.
