Biplab slams CPIM for failing to carry out development works in Tripura

AGARTALA:

Biplab Kumar Deb, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat, delivered a scathing critique of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) during a fiery public address in Simna, Mohanpur on Friday.

Deb launched into a blistering attack, accusing the CPIM of being disconnected from Indian customs due to their origins in China and Russia.

He emphasized the importance of understanding and embracing Indian traditions, citing the arrival of his sister and East Tripura Lok Sabha seat candidate, Kriti Singh Debbarma, to her father's house in Tripura as an example. Deb contrasted this with what he perceived as the CPIM's obliviousness to such customs, attributing it to their distant origins.

Further lambasting the CPIM, Deb criticized their governance in Tripura, alleging that their prolonged rule was sustained by the absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from state politics. He accused the Communists of failing to deliver substantial progress despite being in power for two decades, labeling them as ineffective and deceptive. In contrast, he praised himself and the current Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, for their dedication to advancing the state's development agenda.

Deb also took a sarcastic dig at former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's allegiance to communism, questioning his transition from the communist symbol of hammer and sickle to the hand sign used in voting. He expressed skepticism about Sarkar's abandonment of communist principles, hinting at potential backlash from disillusioned Tripura residents.

Continuing his critique, Deb accused both the Congress and the CPIM of orchestrating violence in Tripura for political gain, alleging numerous casualties resulting from their power struggles. He condemned the Congress's subservience to the CPIM in Tripura's political landscape.

Deb concluded his impassioned address by stressing the importance of accountability and transparency in Tripura's political arena, urging voters to reconsider their support for parties driven by expediency rather than genuine welfare concerns.

The rally ended with enthusiastic cheers from supporters as Deb reaffirmed his commitment to championing the interests of Tripura's populace in the upcoming elections.
