Ending their three days long visit to the alleged poll violence hit West Bengal, the fact finding committee of the BJP MPs on Friday submitted the report to the BJP national president J P Nadda at Delhi.
The Tripura Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, who was among the four fact finding committee members on Friday handed over the report with BJP president J P Nadda and alleged that democratic norms of free and fair elections have been seriously compromised because of blatant misuse of official machinery of Mamata Banerjee led government in West Bengal.
The fact finding report alleged that the entire police force was practically made the ancillary force of the TMC. Open intimidation, threat, violence, and attack by the goons of TMC on BJP supporters and those opposed to the ruling party have become a very shameful norm of elections in Bengal, the report stated.
The report further stated, “What is indeed very shocking is that women including that of Schedule cast and Schedule tribes are beings subjected to Torture, vicious attack and even rape in front of the public without any action being taken. This too is happening under a woman Chief minister for whom the dignity of women is not important, getting victory in election is.”
“Be it the Vidhansabha election, Gram Panchayat election, or the Loksabha election, this abuse and misuse of power with a collaborating police and administration giving a helping hand to goons and goondas of TMC has been perfected into a fine game plan. A large part of Bengal, today has been flooded by illegal immigrants and also by Rohingyas who are getting a safe haven under a collusive Strategy from the TMC,” it stated.
