Acting on a secret information Ambassa PS led by SDPO Pranab Debnath on Tuesday conducted an anti liquor raid in the house of Mithun Goswami of West Lalcherri. During the raid police has recovered and seized 158 bottles different branded foreign liquors including Beer.
However police has also arrested Mithun Goswami on u/s 69 TE act. and is further interrogating to track if anyone else is involved in the illegal liquor business.
It is to be mentioned here that the sale of illegal liquors business has gone rampant in the state. Police is taking massive initiative to crack the illegal liquor business.
