132 KV power transmission to be extended to Gandacherra in Dhalai Tripura district by Dec 2021: CM

AGARTALA:

Ensuring stable power connection to the far flung tribal areas from Ambassa to Ganganagar in Dhalai Tripura district, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday launched the newly installed 132 KV power transmission line and said the line shall be extended to Gandacherra by December 2021.

Deb has blamed the previous Left front government today and said, “The BJP led coalition government after assuming the power in the state has worked on this important transmission line which was sanctioned during the previous government which has failed to even process the file and was stuck for 13 years.”

“In view of the failure of the previous government over the installation of this transmission power line, the NEC has taken back the sanctioned amount which perhaps is brought back after the BJP government has come to power,” Deb claimed.

Deb said, “The previous government was simply accountable to the party and hence failed to work for the people of this state whereas the present government is accountable to the people of this state, and here lies the difference.”

The Deputy chief minister also the state power minister Jishnu Dev Verma among others accompanied Deb while launching the power transmission line on Friday.
