যাদের অভিনয়ে এবং চলচ্চিত্র সংক্রান্ত অন্যান্য ক্ষেত্রে মেধা রয়েছে তাঁদের মেধাকে কাজে লাগিয়ে অন্যান্য রাজ্যের মত এরাজ্যেও একটি ফিল্ম ইন্সটিটিউট গড়ে তোলার জন্য কাজ করছে রাজ্য সরকার।সোমবার বিকেলে সচিবালয়ে তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী সুশান্ত চৌধুরীর অফিস কক্ষে কলকাতার সত্যজিৎ রায় ফিল্ম এন্ড টেলিভিশন ইন্সটিটিউট (এস.আর.এফ.টি.আই) এর শাখার কাজকর্ম নিয়ে এক বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বৈঠক শেষে মন্ত্রী সুশান্ত চৌধুরী বলেন, অভিনয় সহ সম্ভাবনাময় চলচ্চিত্র শিল্পের অন্যান্য প্রাঙ্গণে ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যের যেসকল প্রতিভাবান ছেলে-মেয়ে কাজ করতে আগ্রহী তাঁদের কাজের সুযোগ করে দিতে আমাদের সরকার উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে। এরই প্রেক্ষিতে আজকের বৈঠকে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। মন্ত্রী আশা ব্যক্ত করেন খুব দ্রুত ইন্সটিটিউটের কাজকর্ম আমাদের রাজ্যে চালু হবে। যাঁরা নিজেদেরকে চলচ্চিত্র ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে চান তাদের জন্য রাজ্য সরকার একটি সুবর্ণ সুযোগ এনে দিতে দিচ্ছে। বৈঠকে অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দপ্তরের সচিব প্রশান্ত কুমার গোয়েল,অধিকর্তা রতন বিশ্বাস, পূর্ত দপ্তরের ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ইন চীফ দীপক চন্দ্র দাস, সিনিয়র আর্কিটেক্ট সঞ্জীবন দাস,পূর্ত দপ্তরের নির্বাহী বাস্তুকারেরা, আগরতলা পুর নিগমের ইস্ট জোনের সহকারী মিউনিসিপাল কমিশনার কিশোর সরকার, ত্রিপুরা রাজ্য বিদ্যুৎ কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড সহ সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের আধিকারিকেরা। উল্লেখ্য গত ৬ই এপ্রিল কলকাতা থেকে সত্যজিৎ রায় ফিল্ম এন্ড টেলিভিশন ইন্সটিটিউটের তিন জনের প্রতিনিধি দল আগরতলায় এসেছিলেন। এই টিমে ছিলেন সংস্থার ডিরেক্টর, রেজিষ্টার এবং নোডাল অফিসার। তাঁদের নিয়ে রাজধানীর মঠ চৌমুহনী এলাকার নজরুল কলাক্ষেত্র ঘুরিয়ে দেখিয়েছিলেন ত্রিপুরা সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী সুশান্ত চৌধুরী। তাঁরা নজরুল কলাক্ষেত্রের প্রশাসনিক ব্লক, অডিটরিয়াম, প্রেক্ষাগৃহ, ওপেন গ্যালারী ইত্যাদি ঘুরে দেখেন। এর আগে মন্ত্রী সুশান্ত চৌধুরী নিজে কলকাতার সত্যজিৎ রায় ফিল্ম এন্ড টেলিভিশন ইন্সটিটিউট পরিদর্শন করেন এবং সেখানে আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন। তখন সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছিল যে তাঁদের একটি প্রতিনিধিদল আগরতলায় আসবেন এবং পরিকাঠামো ঘুরে দেখে চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন কোথায় এটি চালু করা হবে। আজকের বৈঠকে তথ্য সংস্কৃতি মন্ত্রী আশা ব্যক্ত করেন খুব দ্রুত ইন্সটিটিউটের কাজকর্ম রাজ্যে চালু হবে।
