Three youths of Kailashahar has created instance by taking initiative to become self sufficient by cultivation of flower. The three youths has made garden of Orchid, Anthorium and Jarbera flower and started to sell in flower market of Agartala. Meanwhile 13 youths have constituted a group of flower cultivators named ‘Red Rose’.
Sources said that three gardens have been made at Gournagar Panchayat at 600 Square Meter area. The youths of the locality are taking care of the garden regularly.
Meanwhile flower of four colours bloomed at Jarbera garden.
The flowers are being sold at local market and in Agartala. They are earning Rs. 6000 to 7000 per month by selling flowers. Anthorium and Orchid plant become fully matured within 6 months. The flower of anthorium has high demand in market.
The department allotted Rs. 14 lakh for the youth entrepreneurs under Integrated Development of Horticulture Mission Scheme. The group has planned to make garden of flower and orchid at all barren land of the locality.
Meanwhile they have taken initiative to cultivate marigold and night queen (Rajani Gandha). At the same time VLW and Sector Officers of Agriculture department are helping them with technical knowhow and advice. The youths are optimistic about earning livelihood by cultivation of flower.

Rajasthan mine accident: Eight of 15 trapped employees rescued
Eight of the 15 employees, including vigilance officers and workers of Hindustan Copper Ltd, who were trapped at 1,875 ft in a mine at Kolihan near Khetri in Rajasthan's Neem Ka thana district, were rescued on Wednesday, said officials here, adding that the operation was underway and soon others will be taken out.
