Vision Document to be implemented: Jishnu

AGARTALA:

As the polls to the TTAADC drawing nearer day by day, the interior pockets of the state are gradually turning into the epicenters of political activities being undertaken by different political parties. Of late, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, which has already dethroned CPM in the last assembly and Lok Sabha elections, has also started its on-ground activities to capture the last left bastion—ADC.

The party’s tribal wing—Janajati Morcha today organized two separate rallies under Kamalpur sub-division drawing huge footfalls today. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Barma and East Tripura MP Rebati Kumar Tripura welcomed thousands of voters in the saffron fold indicating that the party would leave no stone unturned to grab power in the ADCs, not even entertaining its ally—IPFT.

Speaking at a rally at Kamalpur Maitri Bhavan, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Barma launched a scathing attack on the ADC ruling CPM stating that the party left a burden of debts on the present ruling party. He said, “Despite paucity of funds the state government is doing its best to implement its pre-poll promises. The government has already provided 2.57 fitment factor to the employees and by the next financial year remaining promises will be started taking care of”.

Slamming the previous government he said, the present government started its journey with a debt of Rs 12,000 crore and a deficit of Rs 1,700 crore but still, the government is not stepping back from what it has promised. “In this regime, no one will be deprived”, Jishnu assured.

MP Rebati Tripura who attended a rally along with the Deputy Chief Minister at Surma, said, he will donate Rs 5 crore from the MP fund to develop the ADC areas.

“No earlier MPs of the state took steps to ensure the development of the indigenous people. After I am elected, I had met several top-notch ministers and discussed the issues of socio-economic development of the indigenous population”, Rebati said.
